Mississippi High School Basketball - Choctaw Central defeats Newton County

The Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) basketball were winner over the visiting Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS), 66-55 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 18-12 record. They play next when they travel to Morton for a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 26. Choctaw Central will play a Panthers team coming off a 38-32 non-league win over Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 21-7.
With the loss, Newton County falls to 15-9 on the campaign.
