The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) and the visiting Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL), observed Clinton's basketball team overcome Meridian by a score of 70-57.

The Maroons (16-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Bombers come into the non-league challenge with a 16-12 record. In their last challenge, Argenta-Oreana defeated Arcola (Arcola, IL), 56-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 24. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 11-20 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 13-14 record after their 62-60 league win over New Berlin (New Berlin, IL).
