New Mexico High School Basketball - Mesa Vista defeats Penasco

The Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) basketball were winner over the visiting Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), 71-55 in Thursday's league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 21-4 record. They play next when they host Mora for a 2A District 5 bout on Saturday, February 22. Mesa Vista will play a Rangers/Rangerettes team coming off a 37-35 league win over Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 14-11.
With the loss, Penasco falls to 11-14 on the campaign. The Panthers host Questa (Questa, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 2A District 5 bout on Saturday, February 22. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-19. Questa lost 63-48 in their recent league bout against McCurdy (Espanola, NM)
