In Thursday's league contest, the visiting South Lyon East Cougars basketball team scored a close 49-47 win over the Walled Lake Northern Knights.
The Cougars (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 7-16 record. In their last contest, Walled Lake Western edged Kettering (Waterford, MI), 58-54, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Knights battle the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 24. Walled Lake Northern will attempt to better on its 10-13 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 12-11 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Clarkston (Clarkston, MI).
