Michigan High School Basketball - Sault Area sneaks past Escanaba

February 20, 2025: Sault St. Marie, MI 49783

The Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI) basketball edged the visiting Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI), 53-46 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Blue Devils now possess a 14-5 record. They play next when they travel to Petoskey for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 25. Sault Area will play a Northmen team coming off a 47-34 league win over Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI). The Northmen record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Escanaba falls to 9-11 on the campaign. The Eskymos travel to Marquette (Marquette, MI) to play the Redmen in a Great Northern U.P. bout on Tuesday, February 25. The Redmen go into the bout with a record of 8-13. Marquette won 61-48 in their recent non-league bout against Houghton (Houghton, MI)
