West Virginia High School Basketball - Calhoun holds off Ritchie County

February 21, 2022: Mt. Zion, WV 26151

Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV) and the visiting Ritchie County Rebels (Ellenboro, WV), saw Calhoun's basketball squad hold off Ritchie County by a tally of 58-52.

With the victory, Calhoun improves its record to 3-17 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Paden City (Paden City, WV) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 23. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-15. Paden City lost 69-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Doddridge County (West Union, WV)

Next up, the Rebels confront the Wahama White Falcons (Mason, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 24. Ritchie County will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The White Falcons come into the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 92-52 non-league win over Braxton County (Sutton, WV).
