Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles (Eden Valley, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN), 72-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Eden Valley-Watkins upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN) to play the Falcons in a AA Section 3 bout on Friday, February 24. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 9-12.

Next up, the Huskers play the Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN) in a AA Section 6 bout, on Thursday, February 23. Holdingford will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Dutchmen come into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 60-47 non-league win over Montevideo (Montevideo, MN).
