The Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR), 58-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lions (15-13) will now prepare for their test against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR). The Raiders go into the 5A East test with a 20-6 record. In their last test, Nettleton got by Valley View (Jonesboro, AR), 49-41, in a league test.

The Pioneers now own a 8-19 record. They play next when they host West Memphis for a 5A East test on Friday, February 24. Batesville will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 60-45 league win over Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR). The Blue Devils record now stands at 24-3.
