    • Kansas High School Basketball - Derby thwarts Hutchinson

    The Derby Panthers (Derby, KS) basketball knocked off the host Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS), 35-16 in Tuesday's non-league test.

    The Panthers (17-2) will now prepare for their test against Maize (Maize, KS). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 3-16 record. In their last test, Maize went down by Newton (Newton, KS), 27-26, in a non-league test.

    The Salthawks now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Newton for a non-league test on Friday, February 24. Hutchinson will encounter a Railroaders squad coming off a 27-26 non-league win over Maize (Maize, KS). The Railroaders record now stands at 7-12.
