Nelson (Happy Valley, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gresham Gophers (Gresham, OR), 71-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nelson upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season.

Next up, the Gophers clash with the Reynolds Raiders (Troutdale, OR) in a 6A Mt. Hood bout, on Thursday, February 23. Gresham will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-20 record after their 69-50 league loss to David Douglas (Portland, OR).
