The Hale Eagles basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals to 38 in the Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mio-Au Sable for a Freelance contest on Thursday, February 23. Hale will battle a Thunderbolts team coming off a 44-14 league loss to Alcona (Lincoln, MI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 5-14.

The Cardinals (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Rogers City (Rogers City, MI). The Hurons come into the North Star contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Rogers City dropped by Onaway (Onaway, MI), 58-43, in a non-league contest.
