Michigan High School Basketball - Montabella can't hold off Merrill

The Merrill Vandals basketball team scored 32 points and held the host Montabella Mustangs to 28 in the Vandals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vandals now sport a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carson City-Crystal for a Mid-State contest on Thursday, February 23. Merrill will battle a Eagles team coming off a 39-27 league win over Coleman (Coleman, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 17-4.

The Mustangs (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI). The Wolverines enter the Mid-State contest with a 6-15 record. In their last contest, Vestaburg nudged Harrison (Harrison, MI), 42-32, in a non-league contest.
