Leland Comets (Leland, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs (Traverse City, MI), 48-37 in a league bout.
With the win, Leland upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season.
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the St. Michael Academy (Petoskey, MI) in a bout, on Thursday, February 23. Grand Traverse Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 53-26 non-league loss to Mackinaw City (Mackinaw City, MI).
