Texas High School Softball - Veterans Memorial bounces Porter

The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) and the visiting Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), saw Veterans Memorial's softball squad achieve victory over Porter by a count of 16-3.

The Chargers now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Port Isabel for a non-league match on Thursday, February 23. Veterans Memorial will face a Tarpons squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Tarpons record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Porter falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Vela (Edinburg, TX) to face the Sabercats in a non-league match on Friday, February 24. The Sabercats enter the match with a record of 0-0.
