The Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ), 48-43 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Hawks (21-7) will now prepare for their test against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 19-9 record. In their last test, O'Connor got by Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ), 63-32, in a non-league test.

The Mountain Lions now own a 15-13 record.

This game is a part of the 2024 AIA Boys Basketball State Championships (Arizona) - Conference 6A tournament
