In their next game, the Cardinals face the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 23. East Wilkes will attempt to move on its 20-4 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 22-4 record after their 33-27 non-league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC).

With the defeat, Elkin moves to 9-16 on the year.
