The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Canby Cougars (Canby, OR) and the visiting Putnam Kingsmen (Milwaukie, OR), observed Canby's basketball team knock off Putnam by a score of 73-56.

The Cougars (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR). The Wildcats come into the 5A Northwest Oregon challenge with a 21-3 record. In their last challenge, Wilsonville prevailed over Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts (Milwaukie, OR), 87-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Kingsmen encounter the Hood River Valley Eagles (Hood River, OR) in a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge, on Tuesday, February 25. Putnam will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 65-61 non-league win over Centennial (Gresham, OR).
