The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 80 points and limited the visiting James Valley Christian Vikings to 63 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now possess a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a non-league game on Friday, February 28. Wessington Springs will play a Rebels team coming off a 65-48 non-league win over Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD). The Rebels record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, James Valley Christian falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Warner (Warner, SD) to play the Monarchs in a non-league game on Saturday, February 22. The Monarchs go into the game with a record of 9-9. Warner lost 65-49 in their recent non-league game against Florence/Henry (Florence, SD)
