In Friday's league test, the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) basketball squad knocked off the host Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), by a score of 62-54.
Next, the Patriots encounter the Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM) in a 4A District 1 test, on Monday, February 24. Miyamura will attempt to improve on its 6-20 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 9-17 record after their 65-59 league loss to Gallup (Gallup, NM).
The Chieftains (3-23) will now prepare for their test against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Broncos come into the 4A District 1 test with a 10-16 record. In their last test, Kirtland Central was knocked off by Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM), 66-45, in a league test.
