Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), 118-28 in a league match.
With the victory, Navajo Prep upgrades its record to 20-6 on the year. The Eagles host Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM) to face the Eagles in a 3A District 1 match on Thursday, February 27. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 8-17. Crownpoint lost 52-45 in their recent league match against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM)
The Skyhawks now sport a 6-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Zuni for a 3A District 1 match on Tuesday, February 25. Newcomb will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 80-55 league loss to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 14-12.
