The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) and the host North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR), observed South Salem's basketball team overcome North Salem by a margin of 69-61.

The Saxons (11-11) will now prepare for their challenge against West Salem (Salem, OR). The Titans come into the 6A Central Valley challenge with a 13-10 record. In their last challenge, West Salem dropped by McNary (Keizer, OR), 58-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Sprague Olympians (Salem, OR) in a 6A Central Valley challenge, on Tuesday, February 25. North Salem will attempt to better on its 8-13 season record. The Olympians come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 83-64 league win over South Salem (Salem, OR).
