The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors to 3 in the Purple Hurricanes non-league win on Friday.
The Purple Hurricanes now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton for a non-league test on Thursday, February 27.
With the defeat, Walnut Grove drops to 0-3 on the year. The Warriors travel to Morgan County (Madison, GA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Monday, February 24. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 2-0. Morgan County won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Madison County (Danielsville, GA)
