Derby Panthers (Derby, KS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Maize South Mavericks (Wichita, KS), 51-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Derby advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to South (Salina, KS) to meet the Cougars in a match on Tuesday, February 25. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 0-1. South lost 72-40 in their recent league match against Derby (Derby, KS)
