The North Port Bobcats softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Port Charlotte Pirates to 1 in the Bobcats non-league win on Friday.
The Bobcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Fort Myers for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. North Port will confront a Red Knights team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Immokalee (Immokalee, FL). The Red Knights record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Port Charlotte moves to 1-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL) to confront the Manta Rays in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. The Manta Rays come into the battle with a record of 0-2. Lemon Bay lost 16-4 in their recent non-league battle against Venice (Venice, FL)
