Fairhope Pirates (Fairhope, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Baldwin County Tigers (Bay Minette, AL), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robertsdale for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 24. Fairhope will battle a Golden Bears squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Bryant (Irvington, AL). The Golden Bears record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Baldwin County falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Gulf Shores (Gulf Shores, AL) to battle the Dolphins in a 6A Area 2 challenge on Thursday, March 3. The Dolphins enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Gulf Shores lost 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Helena (Helena, AL)
