Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kenmore East Bulldogs (Tonawanda, NY), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grand Island upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Amherst Central (Amherst, NY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 24. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 17-3. Amherst Central won 81-51 in their recent league bout against West Seneca East (West Seneca, NY)
