In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Newcomb Central Huskies basketball team scored a tight 50-44 triumph over the Lake Placid Bombers.

In their next game, the Huskies meet the Schroon Lake Wildcats (Schroon Lake, NY) in a Section 7 Mountain Valley match, on Friday, February 24.
