Alaska High School Basketball - Redington overwhelmed by Houston

The Houston Hawks basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Redington Huskies to 22 in the Hawks league victory on Wednesday.

The Hawks now sport a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lathrop for a non-league contest on Friday, February 24. Houston will battle a Malemutes team coming off a 74-48 non-league loss to Wasilla (Wasilla, AK). The Malemutes record now stands at 13-10.

The Huskies (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK). The Braves come into the 3A Eastern contest with a 17-4 record. In their last contest, Mt. Edgecumbe triumphed over Kenai Central (Kenai, AK), 79-65, in a non-league contest.
