Wisconsin High School Basketball - Appleton East can't hold off Kimberly

The Kimberly Papermakers basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Appleton East Patriots to 64 in the Papermakers league victory on Thursday.
The Papermakers now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Appleton North for a Fox Valley contest on Friday, March 1. Kimberly will battle a Lightning team coming off a 43-38 league loss to Neenah (Neenah, WI). The Lightning record now stands at 16-8.
The Patriots (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI). The Old Abes come into the non-league contest with a 18-6 record. In their last contest, Eau Claire Memorial edged Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI), 65-42, in a league contest.
