Potosi Chieftains (Potosi, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Highland Cardinals (Highland, WI), 72-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Potosi upgrades its record to 20-4 on the season. The Chieftains host Wonewoc-Center (Wonewoc, WI) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 0-22. Wonewoc-Center lost 38-29 in their recent league bout against Necedah (Necedah, WI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets (Wauzeka, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 27. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 70-48 league loss to Ithaca (Richland Center, WI).
