Wisconsin High School Basketball - Portage can't hold off McFarland

The McFarland Spartans basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Portage Warriors to 66 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Atkinson for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 27. McFarland will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 58-38 league win over Watertown (Watertown, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 10-14.
The Warriors (6-18) will now prepare for their contest against Sauk Prairie (Prairie du Sac, WI). The Eagles enter the Badger - Small contest with a 12-12 record. In their last contest, Sauk Prairie nudged Edgewood (Madison, WI), 69-44, in a league contest.
