The Pequot Lakes Patriots basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Pierz Pioneers to 54 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.
The Patriots now sport a 20-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aitkin for a AA Section 7 contest on Thursday, February 29. Pequot Lakes will battle a Gobblers team coming off a 76-49 non-league loss to Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN). The Gobblers record now stands at 3-22.
The Pioneers (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Pillager (Pillager, MN). The Huskies enter the AA Section 7 contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, Pillager ran past Menahga (Menahga, MN), 89-53, in a non-league contest.
