Blackwell Maroons (Blackwell, OK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Victory Christian Conquerors (Tulsa, OK), 58-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blackwell upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Maroons travel to Alva (Alva, OK) to play the Goldbugs in a 89er - West bout on Saturday, February 24. The Goldbugs go into the bout with a record of 22-3. Alva won 60-38 in their recent non-league bout against Rejoice Christian (Owasso, OK)

Next up, the Conquerors play the Chisholm Longhorns (Enid, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 23. Victory Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 4-20 record after their 55-24 league loss to Alva (Alva, OK).
