In Thursday's non-league match, the host Hicks Pirates basketball team scored a tight 51-46 triumph over the Pitkin Tigers.
In their next game, the Pirates meet the Midland Rebels (Midland, LA) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 26. Hicks will attempt to better on its 33-4 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 25-10 record after their 56-29 non-league win over Bell City (Bell City, LA).
With the defeat, Pitkin moves to 26-17 on the year.
