Merritt Oilers (Elk City, OK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hooker Bulldogs (Hooker, OK), 50-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Merritt upgrades its record to 22-2 on the season. The Oilers travel to Cashion (Cashion, OK) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 24. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 20-5. Cashion won 42-31 in their recent non-league bout against Fairview (Fairview, OK)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Newkirk Tigers (Newkirk, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 23. Hooker will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-19 record after their 40-35 non-league win over Crescent (Crescent, OK).
