The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) basketball felled the host Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), 40-30 in Thursday's league test.
The Elks/Elkettes (14-11) will now prepare for their bout against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Hilltoppers go into the 4A District 2 bout with a 14-11 record. In their last bout, Los Alamos topped Taos (Taos, NM), 48-45, in a league bout.
Next up, the Pintos clash with the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Monday, February 26. Moriarty will attempt to upgrade on its 5-20 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-19 record after their 30-27 league win over Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM).
