Texas High School Baseball - Fort Bend Elkins defeats Morton Ranch

The Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) baseball trounced the host Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX), 9-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host George Ranch for a non-league challenge on Monday, February 24. Fort Bend Elkins will clash with a Longhorns team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Bridgeland (Cypress, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Morton Ranch drops to 2-3 on the year. The Mavericks host Katy (Katy, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, February 25. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Katy won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridge Point (Missouri City, TX)
