The Magoffin County Hornets basketball squad (Salyersville, KY), was outscored 75-64 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY)

With the victory, Betsy Layne advances its record to 16-9 on the year. The Bobcats host Floyd Central (Eastern, KY) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 9-16.

The Hornets now own a 7-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. Magoffin County will meet a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 95-86 non-league loss to Pineville (Pineville, KY). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 14-9.
