In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Marion Patriots basketball team scored a good 86-66 win over the Batesville Pioneers.
The Patriots (19-9) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Jonesboro, AR). The Blazers come into the 5A East contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Valley View was topped by Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR), 48-40, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR) in a 5A East contest, on Tuesday, February 25. Batesville will attempt to better on its 9-14 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the contest with a 26-2 record after their 48-40 league win over Valley View (Jonesboro, AR).
