The Hays-Lodge Pole Thunder Birds basketball squad (Hays, MT), was nudged 43-39 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Box Elder Bears (Box Elder, MT)

With the victory, Box Elder advances its record to 7-16 on the year. The Bears travel to Big Sandy (Big Sandy, MT) to meet the Pioneers in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 22. The Pioneers enter the battle with a record of 11-6. Big Sandy lost 56-51 in their recent non-league battle against Chester-Joplin-Inverness (Chester, MT)
