Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Chickasaw Chieftains (Chickasaw, AL), 22-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Foley for a 7A Area 2 challenge on Monday, March 7. Murphy will battle a Lions squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Theodore (Theodore, AL). The Lions record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Chickasaw falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Blount (Eight Mile, AL) to battle the Leopards in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. The Leopards enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
