West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence defeats Greenbrier West

The Independence Patriots topped the visiting Greenbrier West Cavaliers basketball team by a final score of 65-55 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Patriots face the WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV) in a Coalfield AA game, on Friday, February 24. Independence will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record. The Renegades enter the game with a 9-11 record after their 78-62 league loss to Tug Valley (Williamson, WV).
With the defeat, Greenbrier West moves to 7-14 on the year. The Cavaliers host Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV) to face the Wildcats in a Coalfield A game on Tuesday, February 28. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 3-18. Meadow Bridge lost 74-45 in their recent league game against Nicholas County (Summersville, WV)
