Utah High School Basketball - Lehi nudges Jordan

In Thursday's non-league outing, the Lehi Pioneers (Lehi, UT) basketball squad edged the visiting Jordan Beetdiggers (Sandy, UT), by a count of 46-41.
The Pioneers (17-6) will now prepare for their outing against Spanish Fork (Spanish Fork, UT). The Dons go into the non-league outing with a 11-12 record. In their last outing, Spanish Fork held off Cottonwood (Salt Lake City, UT), 56-53, in a non-league outing.
The Beetdiggers now hold a 14-11 record.
First Quarter
Lehi outscored Jordan 13 to 8 in the first quarter. 4 players scored for the Pioneers in the period. Sammi Love hit a three and had 5 of the 13 points.
Second Quarter
Lehi only managed to make 2 two-point baskets in the second quarter. Jordan scored 12 points and the score at the end of the first half is Jordan 20 and Lehi 17.
Third Quarter
Kinly Faux hit a three- point basket in the third period and Addy Scrivner and Sammi Love each scored 4 points for an 11 -point quarter. Jordan scored 10 points and the score going into the final quarter is 30 to 28 in favor of Jordan.
Fourth Quarter
Sammi Love hit a big three and scored 11 points in the fourth quarter going 6 for 6 from the foul line. Malea Havea made a clutch three -point shot to help secure the win. The final score is Lehi 46 and Jordan 41. The Pioneers shot a perfect 12 for 12 from the foul line in the game. Lehi goes on to play Spanish Fork at Weber State in the next round of the state tournament.
