In Thursday's non-league outing, the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) basketball squad edged the visiting Spring Lake Park Panthers (Spring Lake Park, MN), by a count of 77-70.
The Zephyrs (20-5) will now prepare for their outing against North (North St. Paul, MN). The Polars go into the AAA Section 4 outing with a 18-6 record. In their last outing, North held off South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN), 61-49, in a non-league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 10-15 record. They play next when they travel to Totino-Grace for a non-league outing on Friday, February 24. Spring Lake Park will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 57-55 non-league win over Osseo (Osseo, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 7-19.
