The Somerville Yeguas crushed the host Hempstead Bobcats baseball team by a count of 9-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Yeguas now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Milano for a non-league bout on Friday, February 23. Somerville will face a Eagles team coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Hill Country Christian School of Austin (Austin, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
