South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), 9-6 in a non-league test.
With the win, South Effingham upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Screven County (Sylvania, GA) to battle the Gamecocks in a non-league test on Wednesday, February 28. The Gamecocks come into the test with a record of 2-4.
