Lackawanna Steelers (Lackawanna, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the visiting Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY), 78-48 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Lackawanna improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Steelers host Olean (Olean, NY) to play the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 28. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. Olean won 54-35 in their recent non-league challenge against City Honors (Buffalo, NY)
