In Friday's non-league outing, the Hood River Valley Eagles (Hood River, OR) basketball squad beat the visiting Hillsboro Spartans (Hillsboro, OR), by a count of 65-48.

The Eagles (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against Putnam (Milwaukie, OR). The Kingsmen go into the 5A Northwest Oregon outing with a 19-4 record. In their last outing, Putnam defeated Centennial (Gresham, OR), 61-43, in a non-league outing.

The Spartans now hold a 2-21 record. They play next when they travel to Parkrose for a 5A Northwest Oregon outing on Monday, February 26. Hillsboro will clash with a Broncos squad coming off a 63-47 non-league loss to La Salle (Milwaukie, OR). The Broncos record now stands at 7-15.
