The John Paul II Cardinals basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Nolan Catholic Vikings to 59 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 28-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nolan Catholic for a TAPPS 6A District 1 contest on Friday, February 23. John Paul II will battle a Vikings team coming off a 44-36 non-league win over St. Pius X (Houston, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 16-19.
The Vikings (16-20) will now prepare for their contest against John Paul II (Plano, TX). The Cardinals enter the TAPPS 6A District 1 contest with a 27-8 record. In their last contest, John Paul II ran past Prince of Peace (Carrollton, TX), 73-68, in a non-league contest.
