Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pennfield Panthers (Battle Creek, MI), 59-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 11-11 on the season. The Mounties travel to Dexter (Dexter, MI) to play the Dreadnaughts in a non-league bout on Monday, February 26. The Dreadnaughts go into the bout with a record of 6-16. Dexter lost 58-33 in their recent non-league bout against Chelsea (Chelsea, MI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Tournament Team (, ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 26. Pennfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The go into the bout with a 4-22 record after their 85-81 non-league loss to Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA).
